Is this Bleach Kit Safe to use?

This bleach kit is safe to use if the instructions are followed correctly. It is advisable to carry out a strand test to ensure the time you are developing your hair. Bleach your hair once or with a good 2-week gap between applications to stop hair damage.

How long will the bleached hair last?

It will last up to four weeks if you look after your hair and do not use shampoo with colour in it. Depending on how fast your hair grows, your roots will start to show your natural hair colour.

The bleach kit has not lightened my hair as much as I wished for. Can I reapply again?

Reapplying bleach just after bleaching is not advised. The chemical process, when applied to freshly treated hair, will leave your hair dry and damaged.

Can I apply bleach to treated or relaxed hair?

It is not recommended to apply to treated or relaxed hair. The hair has just had a chemical process and may be weakened. Applying another chemical process to the hair will not be suitable for your hair's health.

Can you bleach your hair when pregnant?

Hair bleaching or colouring is considered safe during pregnancy as the scalp doesn't absorb much bleach or dye. However, to be more cautious, avoid it until the second trimester. Then, ensure you carry out the bleaching in a well-ventilated room and that the product isn’t directly applied to the scalp.

Can you bleach wet hair?

Applying bleach to wet hair can have benefits, but it also has drawbacks. Wet hair is more fragile and can be more easily damaged. On the other hand, using wet hair dilutes the bleach, leading to a more subtle tone finish and changing the development time. If you do apply bleach to wet hair, ensure you do a strand test to get your timings correct, as the guidelines would be for dry hair application.

How often can you bleach your hair?

Waiting between 4-6 weeks between bleaching is a good idea.

Can the hair be too greasy to bleach?

Greasy hair is fine to bleach, and the natural oils in it actually protect against hair damage compared to very dry hair that is exposed to chemicals.

  and sign for the delivery. DPD will not deliver without a signatory present.
• Dispatch: Orders are dispatched Monday to Thursday (excluding public holidays).

EU Standard Delivery

• Carrier: DPD for listed countries, Royal Mail Tracked for the rest
• Cost: £8.00 (free delivery for orders with a value over €35)
• Delivery Time: 2-5 days

• Note: Delivery to Spain is not permitted due to Spanish Cosmetic Regulations.
• Duty Fees From 1st July 2026: For EU orders, the €3 duty is handled through the selected delivery service. VAT is collected at checkout where applicable. You will have to pay the €3 duty per line item with a different HS code. For instance, if you purchase 3 x face glitter, then you pay €3. If you order 3 x face glitter and 1 x hair dye, then you pay €6 duty.

America and Canada Delivery

Rest of the World Delivery

• Carrier: Royal Mail (Tracked or Tracked and Signed, depending on location and weight)
• Cost and Delivery Time: Dependent on location and weight.
  Delivery usually takes about 2 weeks but can be up to 4 weeks.

Customs Fees

Note: You may be liable for import customs fees when goods enter your country from the United Kingdom. These fees are calculated at checkout and included in the total inside the EU.

P.O. Box Shipping

Policy: We cannot deliver to a P.O. Box as they do not sign for deliveries.

Returns and Refunds Information

Returns

You have 30 days after receiving your order to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, untested and in its original sealed packaging, in the same condition you received it. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Return postage is not provided by Stargazer. We recommend using a tracked service.

Hygiene

For hygiene reasons, makeup and hair dye can't be returned once the packaging has been opened, or the product has been used or tested, unless it's faulty.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order on arrival and contact us straight away if an item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, so we can put it right. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.

Exceptions
Gift cards can't be returned.

Exchanges
The fastest way to get what you want is to return the item you have and, once the return is accepted, place a separate order for the new item.

Refunds
We'll let you know once we've received and inspected your return, and whether your refund has been approved. If approved, you'll be refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. If you cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, we'll also refund the standard delivery charge you paid. Please allow some extra time for your bank or card provider to process the refund.
