How to open a glitter shaker
The pot works like a salt shaker. The outer lid comes off the top and the glitter comes out through the holes underneath, so there is no need to take the inner section out, and we would advise against trying. Once that part is out you have an open pot of loose glitter and no control at all over how much leaves it. If a lid feels stiff, grip the body of the pot rather than the neck, turn slowly, and do it over a table rather than a carpet.
Shake onto your hand, not your face
Tip a small amount onto the back of your hand first, then pick it up with a brush, a sponge or a fingertip and press it where you want it. Shaking straight at your face puts glitter in your eyes, up your nose and across the bathroom, and wastes most of the pot on the way. Over a fixing gel this method also gives you far better control of the edge of a design, which is the difference between something placed and a general dusting.

Face Glitter is the main shaker, with forty shades covering neon UV, hologram, pastel, Plush, Glitzy and Starlight. Chunky Face Glitter is large flake in ten shades. Confetti Face Glitter mixes flake sizes in one pot, the Shapes Face Glitter Shaker gives you hearts, butterflies, moons, smileys, triangles and letters, and Glitter Stars are star cut in six colours. Making shaker glitter stay on
Loose glitter on bare skin is a temporary arrangement. The Quick Drying Glitter Fix Gel is what holds it: sponge the gel on, press the glitter in on top, wait thirty seconds. It washes off with soap and warm water. Keep the pot upright in your bag rather than on its side and put the lid back on properly, because a shaker that has been rattling loose in a rucksack all weekend ends up as glitter in a rucksack.
