Biodegradable Glitter
Stargazer's biodegradable glitter is eco glitter that actually delivers on both counts — it sparkles just as brightly as traditional plastic glitter, and it's made from rayon rather than microplastic particles, so it breaks down naturally over time.
Both products in this range are cosmetic grade, vegan, and cruelty-free. The fine biodegradable glitter gives a classic shimmer finish and applies easily with a fixing gel or mixing medium. The chunky biodegradable glitter uses larger flakes for bold, high-impact festival and party looks — the same finish you'd get from a traditional chunky glitter, without the plastic.
Both are made in the UK and come in shakers for easy, controlled application. Available in Fuschia, Gold, Silver, Sky, Turquoise, and Violet.
Why rayon?
Most eco glitters are made from plant-cellulose film (often eucalyptus). Stargazer's biodegradable glitters are made from rayon — a soft, skin-safe fibre that degrades over time while remaining non-irritating and safe for use near the eye area. No primers or specialist removers needed — both wash off with soap and water.
Apply with the Stargazer Glitter Fixing Gel for the longest hold, or shake directly onto skin that has been lightly moisturised for a softer, more diffused effect.
