The key is to let each layer set for about 30 seconds before adding the next — this prevents pilling and gives you more control over the final depth.

Does Lip Stain Dry Out Your Lips?
Unlike some stain formulas that can feel tight or dry, our lip stain pen contains Aloe Vera and Panthenol, both of which help maintain moisture while the colour sets. The formula is designed to feel comfortable through extended wear. If you have very dry or flaky lips, we recommend exfoliating and moisturising the night before, and letting any lip balm fully absorb before applying — oily lips prevent the stain from bonding properly, so a dry, smooth surface gives you the longest-lasting result.
