What Does "Semi-Permanent" Mean for an Eyebrow Pen?
A semi-permanent eyebrow pen uses a stronger, longer-lasting formula than a standard brow pencil — one that sets firmly on the skin and resists smudging, sweat, and humidity throughout the day rather than gradually fading or transferring. The colour is intentionally designed to stay fixed until you remove it with an oil-based makeup remover. It is not a cosmetic tattoo and has no relation to microblading — it's a cosmetic product that lasts up to 24 hours with a single application and removes cleanly when you choose.

The key difference from a regular brow pencil is the formula: a pencil deposits waxy colour that sits on the hair and skin, whereas the semi-permanent pen deposits ink-like colour that bonds to the skin surface. How to Draw Natural-Looking Brows
Start by mapping your natural brow shape. Use the pen lightly to mark three points: the start of the brow (directly above the inner corner of the eye), the arch (above the outer edge of the iris), and the tail (at an angle from the outer corner of the eye). These three points define the shape before you fill in.
Use the fine tip for hair-stroke strokes. The sharpened or fine end of the nib allows you to draw thin, individual strokes that mimic the direction of natural brow hairs. Work in the direction your hair grows — typically upward at the head of the brow, then angling outward toward the tail.
Fill the body of the brow with light strokes. Rather than a solid block of colour, short overlapping strokes in the direction of hair growth create a natural, textured brow. Use lighter pressure toward the head of the brow (inner end) and slightly more toward the arch and tail for a natural gradient.
Use the wider nib to define the lower edge. A single clean line along the bottom of the brow tail creates a sharp, defined shape. The upper edge should remain softer and more feathered.
Leave it to set completely before touching. Once applied, the formula needs to dry fully before contact — touching the brow while it's wet can smear the colour. Give it 60 seconds and then don't touch it.

Defined and groomed: Fill the full brow with hair strokes, then use the wider nib to draw a clean line along the lower edge and tail. The defined lower edge creates a polished, sharp look while the filled interior still reads as natural.

Bold statement brow: Use the wide nib for solid fill across the full brow, then sharpen the edges with a thin line along the top and bottom. A bolder brow reads strongly in photos and festival settings where definition matters at a distance.

Tips for Oily Skin
