How to remove hair wax?

3 methods can remove hair wax. It may be best to use a combination of all 3 if you are having real trouble removing the wax (if you have put a huge amount in by mistake).

Apply shampoo to the dry hair and massage the wax with the shampoo. Then wash out with the warmest water you can (taking care not to burn yourself).
Using some kitchen towel wrap the affected hair and heat with a hair dyer to melt the wax, wiping away the wax.
Using a little olive oil massage the wax until the wax breaks down. Then use a paper towel to remove the wax. Then wash with shampoo.
